If you don’t have a driver’s license, an ID card is another way of verifying your age and personal identity. The Arizona Motor Vehicle Division is responsible for the issuing and tracking of identification cards. You can use the card to prove your identity, open a bank account, and register to vote.

Every twelve years, you’ll be required to update the photo on your identification card. The MVD will mail you a reminder to visit your local office in person. You’ll need to complete an application for a replacement card and have your photograph retaken.
